The solution wasn't that easy, and I'm not that blind/stupid/whatever not to know to change the chipset setting in my kernel configuration. However it works for now, but only with the d300 driver from Gentoo forums Howto :)

If your lspci output shows,

01:05.0 VGA compatible controller: ATI Technologies Inc RV350 [Mobility Radeon 9600 M10]

It should work. However I think I know your problem, make sure the Intel chipset support is compiled / enabled in the kernel config as follows (might vary),

Device Drivers --->

Character devices --->

[M] /dev/agpgart (AGP Support)
[M] Intel 440LX/BX/GX, I8xx and E7x05 chipset support
[M] Direct Rendering Manager (XFree86 4.1.0 and higher DRI support)

[M] ATI Radeon

Dont forget to add intel-agp to the /etc/modules.autoload.d/kernel-2.6 file.

Good luck....
